London hotels increasingly have to offer more than just somewhere to sleep, eat and maybe hold a conference. Most newer, smarter hotels in the city boast amazing event spaces with rooftop terraces, library rooms and screening rooms that make you never want to enter a multiplex cinema ever again. The Hoxton Hotel is at the top of this game and I found myself there twice in the past week for yoga related events they were hosting.

In an absolute winner of a move, the hotel offers free yoga with Frame every Saturday morning in one of the rooms that make up their ‘apartment’ (an events / meetings space that is made to look like a large swanky flat). You have to register, and sign-ups unsurprisingly go fast, so it’s worth following the Hoxton on Twitter and keeping an eye out on when it’s open. I nabbed a spot for their class last Saturday and was rewarded with an uplifting flow class taught by Dimuthu Fonseka (check out her classes at Frame, she’s awesome). The ‘living room‘ where we had the class is as it sounds – a room designed to look like a retro lounge. And you know you’re in a cool hotel when your yoga mat comes complete with a fluffy white towel and a bottle of Hoxton branded water.

I found myself back there a few nights later for Hip and Healthy‘s event which was held in the whole of the apartment and resembled the ultimate (healthy) girly night in. Nutritious fresh snacks, coconut water and Nosh smoothies were up for grabs in the kitchen, with a pop-up shop in one of the other rooms (where I was thrilled to spot my friends’ loveyogabum bags for sale) and a manicurist available for a quick beauty fix.

Frame were on hand again, offering 30minute yoga classes away from the bustle in the kitchen and there was also a nutritionist talk. The whole event was very glossy and female (I think I spotted one confused boyfriend!) and smelt divine thanks to the Neom candles that were throughout the rooms. With events like these Hoxton Hotel is a very yogic space indeed.
